 Jane Ellen was born and raised in a rural area of mid-Michigan.  After attending Central Michigan University in Mt. Pleasant, Michigan, she traveled the country, lived in Bakersfield, California for two years then returned to Michigan ready to settle down and purchased a business, and a ten-acre farm that soon became a rescue haven for lost, unwanted and abused animals.

 

Recalling those days on the farm, Jane Ellen said, "I spent many wonderful years on the farm tending the animals and enjoying the children that stopped by regularly."

 

Several years later, she decided to move back to my hometown to help care for my aging father.  With memories of the farm ever present, she is excited about the new path she has chosen as a children's author.
